LASI-DAD · seven-marker blood score

All-cause mortality risk in older Indians

Estimates 3- and 5-year all-cause mortality from a single venous blood panel plus age and sex, using a Cox model developed and internally validated in the Longitudinal Aging Study in India – Diagnostic Assessment of Dementia (community-dwelling adults aged ≥60).

How this is calculated

The score is a Cox proportional-hazards linear predictor (LP). Each marker is log-transformed where skewed, standardised to the cohort mean and SD, and weighted by its coefficient; risk at time t is 1 − S₀(t)exp(LP), with baseline survival S₀(3y)=0.838 and S₀(5y)=0.742.

Research use only. This tool was developed and internally validated in a single cohort of community-dwelling older Indians and has not been externally validated; it is not a substitute for clinical judgement and must not be used for individual treatment decisions. Inputs assume standard assay units. Risk is for all-cause mortality over the stated horizon.
