LATITUDE BOOTSTRAP — Probability of triple convergence by chance
==============================================================================

Reference site: Rapa Nui (φ = -27.113°)
  Deneb culmination: 17.61° (in band [16°,20°]: True)
  Sgr A* culmination: 88.11° (in band [86°,90°]: True)
  Crux visible: True

Analytical computation:
  Latitudes satisfying A (Deneb in [16°,20°]): [-28.72°, -24.72°]  width=4.00°
  Latitudes satisfying B (Sgr A* in [86°,90°]): [-33.01°, -25.01°]  width=8.00°
  INTERSECTION (A AND B): [-28.72°, -25.01°]  width=3.71°

  Rapa Nui (-27.113°) is INSIDE this band: True

Bootstrap results (100,000 random latitudes in [-50°, 50°]):
  Condition A (Deneb [16°,20°]):             4,036/100,000  =  4.036%
  Condition B (Sgr A* [86°,90°]):            8,007/100,000  =  8.007%
  Condition C (Crux visible):               77,007/100,000  =  77.007%
  A AND B (Deneb low + Sgr A* high):         3,761/100,000  =  3.761%
  A AND B AND C (full triple convergence):   3,761/100,000  =  3.761%

By construction (analytical):
  Habitable latitude width: 100° (uniform sampling range)
  Convergence band width: 3.71°
  Expected hit rate: 3.71%
  Observed hit rate: 3.761%

DISCUSSION
==============================================================================

The bootstrap confirms that a random latitude in the habitable band
[-50°, +50°] has approximately 3.76% probability of satisfying
both A (Deneb in [16°,20°]) and B (Sgr A* in [86°,90°]).

For a sample of 30 megalithic sites uniformly distributed in this band,
the expected number hitting both conditions is:
  E[N_hits | uniform] = 30 × 0.0376 = 1.13

Observed: 1 (Rapa Nui). Expected by chance: 1.17.
The observation is consistent with uniform distribution and could occur by chance.

However, the actual distribution of megalithic sites is NOT uniform:
  - Most sites are in temperate northern latitudes (Egypt, UK, Europe, China)
  - The southern latitude band -28 to -25 has very few major megalithic sites
  - Among the ones that DO exist (Mapungubwe at -22, Atacama at -23), none fall in band

What the bootstrap CAN say: the band is narrow (3.71° / 100° = 3.7% of latitudes).
What it CANNOT say: that Rapa Nui being there is non-random — that requires
separate argument about megalithic site distribution and selection effects.
