PUBLICATION FORMATTING AUDIT — v1.0.6
17 September 2026

Scope
This is the formatting and submission-metadata revision of the scientific
v1.0.5 release. All 163 files under reproducibility/ are byte-identical
to v1.0.5. No response values, analysis code, permutation draws, statistical
results, claim statuses or prospective decision rules were changed.
The complete scientific replay from 16 September 2026 is retained in
verification/COMPLETE_SCIENTIFIC_REPLAY.log. This revision does not claim a new
full stochastic replay. Quick integrity checks are distinct from full replay.

Document verification
54/54 machine checks passed. All 29 manuscript pages, 25 SI pages and the
separately supplied one-page cover letter were visually inspected. The final
DOCX-to-PDF render was pixel-identical to the reviewed render on all 55 pages.
All fonts are embedded in the supplied PDFs. No out-of-page text, replacement
glyphs, unresolved reference markers, tracked changes or comments were found.
Main manuscript: continuous reviewer lines 1–632; pages 1–29; 16 numbered
equations, 3 tables and 4 figures. Main prose uses double line spacing.
SI: pages S1–S25; sections S1–S26; equations S1–S16; 19 tables; Figure S1;
claim identifiers C01–C49. Table data rows match the scientific release exactly.

Figures
Four main figures, one SI figure and eight diagnostic figures inspected.
PDF/SVG masters and high-resolution PNG exports are included. Main figures 1
and 2 have compact layouts; explanatory prose is in the captions. All five
submission figure PDFs have embedded fonts and are below 10 MB each.

Editorial changes
Clear main Methods heading; Scientific Contribution is a three-sentence
subsection of the abstract. Explicit figure/table callouts and Additional file
1/2 descriptions were added. Table 3 and Table S10 notes distinguish units,
Holm-adjusted pipeline p-values and the unadjusted auxiliary stress null.
Short tables stay together; long SI tables repeat column headings. Figure
caption titles are concise, with panel/color explanations where relevant.
PDF and DOCX now share one layout source; obsolete alternative typesetting
outputs were removed. The cover letter is supplied separately to the editor.

Scientific scope
The work is self-contained. Finite physical sufficiency is distinguished from
fold-wise predictive identifiability. Synchronized H2 nulls and a structure-only
FreeSolv demonstration remain included. Historical coefficient-concordance
p-values are conditional on a response-exposed fixed coding, not dimension
proofs. Blind noncanonical outcomes and mechanistic validation remain open.
The targeted literature review is not an exhaustive priority search.

Integrity
Prepackaging root verifier: 21/21 PASS; included revision checks: 12/12 PASS.
The matching log is verification/RELEASE_VERIFICATION_v1_0_6.log.
MANIFEST.sha256 identifies this archive's files; the predictive subpackage
retains its own independent manifest. Run python verify_release.py on a fresh
extraction before any full replay, which can regenerate result files.
The distribution bundle supplies the fresh-extraction verification log and
external ZIP checksum. Historical logs are labeled separately.

Author review before submission
The author should confirm affiliation/contact details, authorship, conflicts,
publication history and exclusive-submission declarations. Nothing has been
submitted to a journal by this assembly workflow.
