- HTS_MetaAnalysis_Data.csv: study-level event counts, denominators, incidence estimates, anatomical site, and overall risk-of-bias judgment.
- HTS_MetaAnalysis_Code.R: R code to calculate crude incidence, Wilson confidence intervals, site-specific summaries, and reproducibility outputs.
- README.txt: this file.

Primary manuscript results:
- Events: 331 hypertrophic scars.
- Denominator: 9,319 pediatric surgical observations.
- Crude incidence: 3.55%.
- Random-effects pooled incidence: 3.96% (95% CI, 2.30-6.75).
- Heterogeneity: Q=88.40, df=13, I2=85.3%, tau2=0.717.

How to reproduce:
1. Unzip ESM_6_Analysis_Files.zip into a local folder.
2. Open R in that folder.
3. Run: source("HTS_MetaAnalysis_Code.R")
4. The script writes HTS_MetaAnalysis_Output.txt, HTS_MetaAnalysis_Data_With_Wilson_CI.csv, HTS_Site_Summary.csv, and two reproduced plot PNG files.

The R script uses base R only. It also reports the manuscript random-effects model values because package-specific logit-proportion random-effects estimators and continuity-correction choices may differ slightly across software.
